‘De Hoedenmaker‘ [The Hatter] is an exceptional beautiful holiday house. It is located in the heart of Bruges and is an official *** licenced holiday home. The facade is built in the traditional stepped-gable style that is typical of the finest Flemish houses. It is a charming and elegant house built in 1675. Located in the peaceful and quiet residential area of Saint-Gilles quarter, about 400 m north of the medieval centre of the city and less than 10 minutes walk to the Market Square and the Belfry tower. ‘De Hoedenmaker’ is a three-story house with a total of 110 square metres living area, completely furnished. The kitchen includes a full complement of cooking utensils and cutlery. Large, comfortable beds ensure a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
The house faces south and takes in plenty of sun throughout the year. It also has a private walled-in terrace. You will love this relaxing resort and immediately feel at home.

‘De Hoedenmaker’ is situated in the centre of the city of Bruges. Getting there however is not that difficult. Bruges is an ancient city with small streets. Getting around by car is not necessary and sometimes it makes you nervous. However, all places are at walking distance.

from train station if coming from Brussels airport by train:
- Walk through the ancient city centre for about 2 km
- Take a taxi (approx. € 15/taxi, 10 min.)
Taxi companies in Bruges (advise: Taxi Snel) - Take bus (online ticket; €.2.50)
nr. 2 to Snaggaardbrug (Supermarket Carrefour) + 400 m walk - Free city-shuttle to the house (500m). It goes every 20 minutes from the ‘kiss and ride zone’ in front of the station (near the traffic lights). Get off at stop STADSSCHOUWBURG, Vlamingstraat..
Coming by car
- Easiest: Park save and free near Police station. Walk your way back (1.3km) or take bus n° 2 every 10 min. (€ 2,5/pp)
